STETESTER is an advanced (or developer) testing infrastructure for LAPACK's symmetric tridiagonal eigensolvers. This directory contains information about the tests performed with LAPACK's symmetric tridiagonal eigensolvers on different computer architectures and a large number of test cases.      

• README: description of the computer architectures and test cases; see also a related technical report.
  

• ARCH: results of the tests for each computer architecture listed in README.
• DATA: (explicit) test matrices used in the tests and plots of the eigenvalue distributions (jpeg).
• INPUT: input files used by the tester.

Example: matrix of dimension 966 provided by George Fann using the NWChem computational chemistry package,

• Tridiagonal matrix (dimension of the matrix, then [row index, diagonal entry, off diagonal entry])
  
• Eigenvalues (dimension of the matrix, then eigenvalues in ascending order)
• Eigenvalue distribution (eigenvalue index x eigenvalue magnitude)
• Eigenvalue distribution in log scale (eigenvalue index x eigenvalue magnitude in log scale)
